Tak Chiu Wong is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with a Bachelors of Music and completed his further study at the CRR de Cergy-Pontoise, France, with world-renowned soloist Jean-Yves Fourmeau.

Regarded as one of the most prominent saxophonist in Hong Kong, He has given numerous performances in Hong Kong as both a soloist and a member of various ensembles such as the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds and the Hong Kong Wind Orchestra. Since 2004, He has been performing regularly with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Winds Philharmonia, the Hong Kong Wind Orchestra and the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds. Tak Chiu has worked with famous conductors and composers such as Edo de Waart, Joe Hisaishi, David Wong and Michael Krajewski..

As a student of the HKAPA, Tak Chiu performed the saxophone concerto by Pierre Max Dubois with the Hong Kong Academy Symphony Orchestra as the winner of the Hong Kong Academy Concerto Competition. In 2010, he won 2nd prize in the Concour de Saxophone Parisien, Paris, France, gaining much praise from renowned judge and saxophonist, Julien Petit.

Tak Chiu is the founding member of the saxophone ensemble “La Sax” which has rapidly established itself as one of the finest chamber ensembles in Hong Kong. They have performed at venues such as the Hong Kong City Hall and the recording of TV programs by RTHK.

Tak Chiu is the Hong Kong representative in the Amigo Saxophone Quartet, which is an international group that has performed at the 15th World Saxophone Congress, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2010, the Amigo Saxophone Quartet just finished a secussful tour of Southeast Asia, premiering new works and performing standards of the saxophone repertoire.
